And, sometimes at night, some gates don’t accept quarters at all and the slots close up. \u00c2\u00a0This forces you to walk for 5 minutes, hoping your train is late (which, you know, it probably is, but still!) to an alternate gate where a surly American sits, supervising your coin deposition.<\/p>\n
I feel like we’re competing with Moscow for unfriendliness points here.<\/p>\n
On buses, you can pay the driver (no change, of course), but the metro is too smart for that. They gots automation. Automation which only accepts coins, and depends on competing transportation companies for change machines. \u00c2\u00a0 A parasitic relationship, I think, is the official term.<\/p>\n
This sort of idiocy makes me want to fire the entire department of transportation. \u00c2\u00a0All they do for me is cause parking tickets. Retards. \u00c2\u00a0Can’t even collect money right.<\/p>\n
And of course, there’s no phone reception in the stations.<\/p>\n
And two car trains? \u00c2\u00a0One car trains?<\/em> What is this, disneyland?!<\/p>\n Actually, I’m pretty sure Disneyland does much better. \u00c2\u00a0Maybe I’ll move there.<\/p>\n Speaking of moving…right now I’m in Costa Rica (I hope). \u00c2\u00a0No trains. \u00c2\u00a0Just expectedly unreliable buses.
